Levindale Rehabilitation Services

At Levindale, we offer a wide variety of rehabilitation services. Our licensed therapists work with our patients so they can have the best quality of life. We treat adults of all ages in a fun loving atmosphere. Our units are called neighborhoods and people are treated more like neighbors than patients.

Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Neighborhood

Levindale's rehabilitation neighborhood (unit) has 20 licensed, CARF* accredited beds. We are dedicated to achieving the most independence possible for our patients.

Patients in this neighborhood receive at least three hours of therapy a day. There is also rehabilitation-focused nursing care around the clock. A rehabilitation doctor (a physiatrist) provides medical direction and works closely with a medical doctor and the therapy and nursing staff.

Levindale's rehabilitation professionals service patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, including stroke, head injury, debility, and orthopedic injuries. We provide physical, occupational and recreational therapy services. If needed, we also have speech therapy, psychological counseling and social work support.

Within the comprehensive rehabilitation neighborhood (unit), we also provide a unique inpatient pulmonary rehabilitation program. Our patients benefit from individual therapy, education, and group treatments- all on our CARF accredited rehabilitation neighborhood.

Respiratory care is also given around the clock. The team works closely together to achieve outcomes, including increased energy, improved independence and fewer hospital returns over the long term.

Inpatient Sub-acute Rehabilitation Services

The sub-acute rehabilitation neighborhood is a perfect fit for patients who can't tolerate the intensity of acute rehabilitation, but who have the ability to participate in one to three hours of treatment a day.

Levindale's rehabilitation staff members provide physical, occupational and recreational therapy, as well as speech services, psychological support and twenty four-hour nursing care. A doctor provides oversight and works closely with the patient and team.

Medically Complex Care Services

The Levindale therapy team services our ventilator patients, as well as many other chronic acute residents. We are also a vital presence on the geropsych unit. We work with respiratory therapists, nurses, and doctors to achieve the most independence possible. Our therapists also work closely with the wound treatment team to manage skin sores and other wounds.
